Help! I've Chopped My Hair and Now I'm Lost...

As anyone with eyes can see, the Pixie or the Crop haircut has been all the rage. While some ladies would never dream of growing out their beloved short style, others can't wait for it to be long.

Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot you can do once you've chopped your hair other than...

Let. It. Grow! This seems simple but your hair will go through so many horrifying stages that you will want to come in for a cut. Don't do it. Push through! The really terrifying styles typically only last about 2-3 weeks before your new thought is "Oh! This isn't so bad, I can do this!"

At the salon we do neck/bang trims in between your haircut and these are life savers. It's enough of a shape up to make it through the bad time, but not enough of a cut to set you back.

I am currently growing out my pixie from the summer and let me tell you...I haven't had a full on haircut since June. I have changed the color, which is a wonderful way to fight boredom while growing out, and the back has been cut two or three times to become the almost bob that it is today. It's not so pretty in between. Bobby pins are a life saver and any of us in the salon can show you how to pin back during the painful stages. I also found this blog that had some great tips (and is a great site in general for beauty-holics) on growing out your hair.

Google is also your friend. I have googled Sienna Miller, Emma Watson, Mandy Moore, and Kirsten Dunst all growing out their hair. My personal favorite is Freja Beha Erichsen. So Google away and be strong!!
